Background
Eagle Industries is a world leader in the production of top-quality individual equipment products for the military, homeland security, and law enforcement agencies. Founder, John Carver and his mother, Lorene Pyles, began operations in the basement of her St. Louis, Missouri home in 1974 producing nylon gear for motorcycle racing including assorted bags, fanny packs, motocross pants, and a variety of packs. In 1982, the Company incorporated under the Eagle banner and redirected its product focus to fill a noticeable void in the availability of quality tactical nylon products for military and law enforcement. The initial handful of employees focused on producing rifle cases, holsters, bags, and packs. Over its 30+ years of operation, Eagle has emerged as one of the most trusted names in tactical nylon gear known for its “will-not-fail” quality and lifetime guarantee. In 2009, Eagle became a wholly owned subsidiary of Alliant Techsystems, Inc. (ATK), a premier aerospace and defense company.
Customers
Eagle core customers include all branches of the United States Department of Defense, the US Special Operations Command, the Department of Homeland Security, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, corrections officers, security personnel, and many high-profile International Special Operations Units. In addition, Eagle has a strong core of OEM customers that demand top quality private label manufacturing for some of the most recognized names in the industry. Eagle Industries distributes through all Department of Defense Prime Vendors and sells a commercial product line through over 650 dealers in 45 countries.
Products
Eagle produces over 5,000 high-quality items including tactical vests, holsters, insertion extraction harnesses, gear bags, packs, weapon cases, miscellaneous pouches, and weapon slings for military and law enforcement personnel through government contracts, unit sales, and a network of independent representatives. Eagle’s ever-growing research and product development division has developed and patented several innovative designs to provide for the needs and safety of men and women who put their lives on the line. Manufacturing Capabilities
Eagle offers Berry compliant domestic manufacturing and operates out of four facilities. Eagle is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri with additional facilities in Lares, Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, and the Dominican Republic. In addition to Eagle’s manufacturing capabilities, the Company is continuously updating popular products and developing new equipment using its research and development capabilities, which includes product development experts located in St. Louis, and two customer outreach facilities in Fayetteville, North Carolina and Virginia Beach, Virginia. Eagle’s Research and Development team and the Company’s Business Development team are comprised of several former military and special operations team members. This enables Eagle to meet customer needs ranging from very specialized small-batch projects, to large multi-run orders such as the tactical vests it produces under large military contracts.
